After you’ve browsed our list of speakers and have decided which one you would like for your event, complete our booking form. Please be sure to provide as many details as possible so our team can provide the best support.

Step 3: Work with our team to plan your event

Our team will reach out to you to learn more about your event, audience, message goals, and budget. We will handle all contract logistics, including travel, payment and pricing, lodging and other speakers fees so you can rest easy.

Step 4: Enjoy an amazing performance by one of our speakers.

It’s the big day! Your audience will receive a customized, engaging, and evidence-based presentation focused on achieving the outcomes you define.

Speakers Bureau Questions

What is a speaker's bureau?

A speakers bureau is a resource for the people who plan meetings, conventions, conferences, and other events. By working with a speakers bureau or agency, you can find keynote speakers, assemble panels or workshops, and build an event that everyone in your audience will remember.

The Journey Speakers Bureau will help you:
  • Research and present a customized group of established speakers to help you find the ideal keynote speaker for your event
  • Search for available speakers within a certain fee or budget range or speakers who specialize in particular subject matters
  • Get recommendations for potential speakers that fit your budget and content needs
  • Receive assistance with event programming ideas supported by speakers from the bureau
  • Provide support with equipment and multimedia requirements so you have every tool you need for an unforgettable event

What is the difference between “non-exclusive” and “exclusive” speakers bureaus?

A non-exclusive speakers bureau allows the talent/speakers to work with more than one bureau and manage independent bookings and gigs. An exclusive speakers bureau has a collection of speakers that only work with that specific agency. If you would like to work with a specific speaker in an exclusive speakers bureau, you must go through that agency to book them.

The Journey Speakers Bureau is non-exclusive to help our talent develop more than one avenue of opportunities.

Will I have to pay more for booking through a speakers bureau?

The Journey Speakers Bureau provides our clients with a multitude of services at no cost to them. This means you can enjoy consulting services, independent recommendations, a high level of event coordination, plus many additional services that would normally cost you for free. So, booking with us actually costs less!

Do you provide any resources for clients to use during the event planning stages?

Booking Process Questions

I have never booked a speaker before. Where do I begin?

Planning your first event is never easy. That’s why the Journey Speakers Bureau is here to help you. With our experience and extensive knowledge of speakers, topics, and what works, we will be with you from start to finish. First, we work closely with you to identify your exact needs and bring your speaker and program needs into sharp focus. Working hand-in-hand, we will help you find not only the right speaker on any given subject, but also the best speaker for the type of program you are offering and your audience.

When is the best time to start looking for a speaker while planning my event?

The best time to start looking for a speaker is at least 3 months in advance. Our speakers manage an extensive calendar of events and planning ahead is the best way to ensure your desired speaker has open availability.

What happens after I choose the speaker I want for my event?

After you choose a speaker for your event, we send an invitation to the speaker to confirm availability. Once the speaker accepts, we handle the logistics, including contracts, travel arrangements, booking fees and payments, and communicating your needs. We will be with you every step of the way and answer any of your questions and concerns. Making this journey as easy and simple as possible is our greatest priority.

What if my speaker cancels before my event?

If your chosen speaker cancels due to an emergency, we work to provide you with a replacement speaker. With our wide variety of speakers, we will provide you with a speaker that still meets your needs. Our team is equipped to handle any unforeseen complications and cancellations.

What if I cancel my event? Do I get a refund?

In the unlikely event of a cancellation, we work with our clients to schedule your keynote speaker. Because our speakers turn down events to be fully committed to yours, a 50% deposit is non-refundable. 

Speakers & Booking Fees

What is a speakers fee?

A speakers fee is a range of costs to book a specific speaker. Speaker fees displayed on each speaker’s profile are a starting point. Travel feels, meals, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and any other out-of-pocket expenses may be added.

Speakers fees depend on a number of factors including the type of event, size of the audience, length of the event, etc. Prices listed on this website are intended to serve only as a guideline. In some cases, the actual price quote may be above or below the stated range.


Do I have to pay travel fees if my speaker is out of state?

Yes, clients are required to pay travel fees if the speaker is out of state. 

If my event is longer, does the speakers fee change?

Yes, the length of the event does determine if the fees increase. There is no rule of thumb. The speakers fees displayed for each speaker is an estimate for a 1-2 hour event. Longer events can increase the fee range.

What additional fees might I be responsible for during the booking process?

Clients will be responsible for travel, meals, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations.

I am a speaker. What is the process for joining the Journey Speakers Bureau?

To join the Journey Speakers Bureau, please take the time to fill out our interest form. There are specific qualifications each interested speaker must meet to be considered for the Journey Speakers Bureau. These qualifications are:
  • Biography
  • Professional headshots and stage shots
  • Demo videos in front of a live audience
  • List of topics/presentations with abstracts
  • Articles you have been featured in or have written, published on recognizable and reputable media outlets

If you are unable to provide the above items, we will be unable to discuss listing or representation.

I don’t meet the qualifications to join the Journey Speakers Bureau. What are my next steps?
