Shannon Miller is a two-time Olympic gymnast with seven Olympic medals: two gold, two silver, and three bronze. She is the only female athlete to be inducted twice into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, once individually and once with her team. As a leader of the 1996 “Magnificent Seven,” she helped secure Team USA’s first ever women’s gymnastics gold and became the first American gymnast to win gold on the balance beam. Over her career, she earned 59 international and 49 national medals, with more than half of them gold.
After retiring from competition, Shannon earned degrees in marketing, entrepreneurship, and law before launching her company, Salto Health, which is focused on helping women prioritize their well-being. In 2011, she faced one of her toughest challenges when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After completing treatment, she emerged cancer free and became a powerful advocate for early detection and cancer awareness. Her book, It's Not About Perfect: Competing for My Country and Fighting for My Life, reflects her belief that true victory comes from resilience, preparation, and courage.
Shannon is a highly sought after motivational speaker for organizations of all sizes, from nonprofits to Fortune 50 companies. She inspires audiences with her signature Gold Medal Mindset and focuses on resiliency, goal setting, teamwork, and the power of a positive and disciplined approach to both life and business. As she often reminds audiences, “Medals are not won on the day of competition; they are won with the hard work and preparation that happens years before you step on the competition floor.”
Drawing from her Olympic journey, her cancer battle, and her experiences as a CEO, mother, author, and broadcaster, Shannon leaves audiences with practical tools they can use to face challenges and rise above the odds. No leotard required.

- Heartland Cancer Foundation
We are so glad we made the decision to choose Shannon Miller as the keynote speaker of our largest annual fundraiser. Shannon and her team were fantastic to work with, and we loved that her speech tied into the purpose of the event and complemented the Heartland Cancer Foundation’s mission to support people in our community who are struggling with both a cancer diagnosis and financial hardship. We know she was a big draw for our gala and sharing about her journey helped raise critical funds for an important cause.
- Michael Meek
I have had the privilege of speaking on stage many times and listening to invited speakers, and in my 30 years here I have not received as many complimentary remarks about not only Shannon’s speech, but also how gracious she was prior to the event in giving autographs. Our Chamber is over 2,400 members strong… Having Shannon Miller speak at your event will provide you a ‘home run’ to kick start your year.
- Mercy College

Shannon Miller exceeded our expectations in terms of her message for the public, community, students, and teachers. Shannon was very flexible and willing to answer questions that the public had regarding being an Olympic gold medalist and the struggles and opportunities that it brought. Our staff at the Health Department were blown away by Shannon’s kindness, willingness to be flexible, and ability to connect with our residents on a common basis. We would definitely recommend Shannon to anyone looking to hold an important speaking event
- GymConUSA
As the most decorated American gymnast, Shannon Miller was a perfect choice as the keynote speaker for our Sports Banquet. The story of her struggles and triumphs during her career inspired a room full of coaches and gym owners. However, higher level themes she discussed like goal setting, perseverance, and positive attitude would touch any group she addresses at the human level.

Her enthusiasm, compassion, and message of perseverance inspired the crowd of riders and supporters. Shannon also delivered an excellent keynote speech at Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Survivorship event in 2014. Working with her and her team is an absolute pleasure.
